Oncology & Cancer Support

Do you or does someone you care about have cancer?

It is natural to feel many bewildering and frightening emotions. That is why St. Mark's Hospital developed the Cancer Support Center.

What does the Cancer Support Center Do?

The Support Center provides education as well as emotional and social support to those who have a new diagnosis of cancer, to family members, or to someone whose cancer has recurred after many years. The primary goal of the Cancer Support Centeris to ease the stress and pain of living with cancer, and to help the patient and family live as normal a life as possible.

Because cancer has many diverse forms and symptoms, our program includes a variety of services, which include:

  • Support groups
  • Education classes
  • Internet access
  • Library services
  • Clinical trials information

St. Mark's Hospital is accredited by the College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and is a member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC).

St. Mark's Hospital guides patients from the time of cancer diagnosis and treatment through  the emotional healing.
